This is a good conclusion to the series but it was obvious that by the early to mid 90s the C64 was running out of steam. Items to collect don't flash on-screen like the previous games. The need to build Bushido adds ZERO value to the game and is a gimmick at best. Wind and Water almost have no puzzles whatsoever, simply walk around until you find the exit. The puzzles are obscure and vague and mostly concentrated to the Earth and Fire levels. The enemies often glitch and get caught in scenery whilst trying to follow you! The water and void levels in particular are poorly designed and are confusing to navigate. The level design makes no sense since the screens don't "connect" logically. Where it all falls apart is the game itself:
On the positive side, the intro movie and ending cinematic are both FANTASTIC (probably the best ever seen on a C64) and the level music is brilliant (especially the wind and earth levels, very moody and atmospheric). I was crazy about LN1 and LN2 as a kid, but this addition to the series is undoubtedly the weakest.
